Super Simple Spicy Barbecue Sauce

I'm gonna have to keep this even shorter and even sweeter than usual as I'm busy busy busy at the moment as I've just come back to school and due to other commitments so sorry for the lack of postage this week!

This is a quick to make and frankly delicious, the perfect punchy sweet yet spicy sauce for your burgers and hot dogs. This is so quick and easy, made with store cupboard ingredients and the perfect crowd pleaser.

If you prefer a smokier sauce swap chilli powder for smoked paprika as this will give a smokier and less spicy sauce.

The Food Kid

Ingredients

1tsp hot chilli powder

225g passata

3tbsp granular sweetener (or sugar)

4tbsp balsamic vinegar

1tbsp Worcester sauce

1/2tsp mustard powder

1/2tsp garlic granules

Method

Boil a kettle and fill a jam jar right to the top with boiling water, put the lid back on and set aside.

Place all of the ingredients into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Simmer the mix for 10 minutes until thickened.

Remove the water from the jar and replace it with the sauce, keep in the fridge for around 2 weeks.
